Job description: This call is under the scope of the project “M1420-01-0145-FEDER-000005 - Centro de Química da Madeira - CQM+” cofunded by PROGRAMA OPERACIONAL REGIONAL DA MADEIRA 2014-2020 (MADEIRA 14-20). OPEN POSITION
This call invites applications for one (1) researcher with a master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields with experience in synthesis and characterization of polymers.

Admission Requirements
Candidates for this position (“Research Grant for Master Degree holder”) should have expertise in synthesis and characterization of polymers, a strong motivation to work both independently and as part of a team, very good communication skills and ability to meet deadlines. Experience in synthesis, characterization (RMN, MS, HPLC, VC) and functionalization of hyperbranched polymers or natural fibers, and experience in vitro biological evaluation will be valued in the evaluation process. Scientific guidance and workplace
The successful candidate will be integrated into the CQM team headed by Professor João Rodrigues and his/her work will be supervised by a Senior member of CQM with expertise in the field. The workplace will be at CQM - Madeira Chemistry Research Centre (http://cqm.uma.pt), Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal
Duration
The successful candidate is expected to join the CQM team by December 2019. The contract will be for 9 months (or less, depending on the date of beginning), eventually renewable until the physical execution limit date of the project. Salary
€989,70 (Research Grant for Master Degree holders) free of taxes; ARDITI postdoctoral stipend and regulations are determined by ARDITI. Evaluation criteria
Candidates will be evaluated and ranked based on their Curriculum Vitae (maximum 60 points), research activity during the master degree (scientific/technological production; maximum 30 points), and motivation letter (maximum 10). Selection panel
